The big monument of him on the back of his horse is standing in the centre of the square. Looking for more history? Visit the Et’hem Bey Mosque, located on the side of the Skanderbeg square. The little mosque is one of the oldest buildings in Tirana, and, - with its frescos and little statues -, one of the most visited sights of the city too. Definitely worths your time!
Clock Tower - see Tirana from above
Continuing your walk in Tirana from the Skanderbeg square, you will find the old clock tower located behind the Et’hem Bey Mosque. The tall tower is open for tourist: climb up the stairs and get caught by the picturesque view of the capital! You will also see the socialist-realist statue of the unknown Partisan shaking his fist to the Albanian Parliment, which you can also take a walk to see after you had your time had enough of the colorful view of Tirana.
